Clearview 750 Baffle/Throat Plate - P75CF7550

Replacement Baffle/Throat Plate suitable for Clearview 750 stove.  The Clearview 750 Throat plate is made from thick steel and is designed to sit at the top of the firebox and rests on the fire bricks.

When installed it is designed to protect the top of the stove from excessive heat damage and to aid combustion to improve efficiency.

Using your Clearview 750 stove with a damaged baffle plate can cause damage to your stoves body.

Identifying that you have a 750 stove:

The Clearview 650 and 750 look very similar and can easily be mistaken for each other.  To ensue you purchase the correct baffle please check the following guide below:

1) If you can get access to the baffle you will notice there are tabs welded onto the baffle.  IF your baffle has 2 tabs in total (left and right hand side) you have a 650.  If you have 3 tabs (left, right & rear) then you have a 750.

2) The door hinges are slightly different on the two models.  The 650 hinges are almost at the edge of the stove where the 750 hinges are located in around 1" from the edges. See picture below.

Fire Brick Warranty Information:

Please note that due to the very nature of firebricks there are no warranties provided by the manufacturers.  Fire bricks are excluded from any warranties in the same way as car brake pads would be due to the many variances that can cause these parts to deteriorate.

When used correctly and carefully fire bricks can last 12 months and sometimes even longer. Please note that using the fire only a few times before the brick cracks does not mean that the brick is faulty as it may have absorbed moisture, a log may have moved during firing and hit the brick or simply been overfired.  Bricks can still be used if cracked.  As long as the crack is not over 6mm wide (Pound coin) then it will still insulate in the same way.
