Franco Belge Montfort Classic (MK1) Vermiculite Fire Brick Set

The Franco Belge Montfort Classic (MK1) Vermiculite fire brick set is an aftermarket fire brick set made from a high density British made vermiculite and is sold as a complete set of 5 bricks.  The Franco Belge Montfort Classic fire brick set is easy to fit and under proper operation will last a long time and will ensure more heat is given to the room.

Vermiculite offers far superior heat insulation properties compared to the older style clay which most manufacturers have fazed over the years.  Vermiculite will simply reflect the heat back into the firebox thus giving more heat into the room and giving a more efficient burn.

In approx 2012 the side fire bricks where changed and are now a different shape and are also split into 2 pieces.  You will find that the newer style bricks are a lot taller and even have a different shape.  They were redesigned in order to make the baffle sit differently within the stove after complaints of the baffle burning out to easily.  With the way the bricks now sit the baffle is in less contact and will last longer.

Installation Instructions:

Installing the Franco Belge Montfort Classic brick set is extremely easy and can be completed in around 5 minutes.

• Remove the Log Retainer.
  
• Using the palm of your hand lift the baffle upwards and forward and lower the baffle to the base..
  
• Now pull the bottom of the baffle towards you and pull the baffle out through the door.
  
• Now remove the side bricks followed by the rear brick.
• Reverse the sequence to install new bricks.
