Franco Belge Savoy Elegance (Mk2) Back/Rear Fire Brick - 105639

The Franco Belge Savoy Elegance (MK2) back fire brick is a large vermiculite rear brick that is secured by 4 fixing screws (not supplied) to the Savoy elegance baffle/throat plate.

The brick has been improved over the years and the screw holes have now been increased in size to avoid expansion of the screws which used to cause the brick to split when hot.

Please note: The rear fire brick no longer has the diamond logo embossed into the brick.

Compatibility: Please note that the brick on this page will only fit the newer Cast Iron baffle plate.  If your stove has the old style Steel baffle then this brick will not fit.  If your baffle is still in good condition you can buy the old style brick here --> Franco Belge Savoy Old Style Rear Fire Brick For Steel Baffle

If your baffle is damaged from heat you will need to replace the baffle with the cast iron baffle and purchase the new style bricks from then on.

Fire Brick Warranty Information:

Please note that due to the very nature of firebricks there are no warranties provided by the manufacturers.  Fire bricks are excluded from any warranties in the same way as car brake pads would be due to the many variances that can cause these parts to deteriorate.

When used correctly and carefully fire bricks can last 12 months and sometimes even longer. Please note that using the fire only a few times before the brick cracks does not mean that the brick is faulty as it may have absorbed moisture, a log may have moved during firing and hit the brick or simply been overfired.  Bricks can still be used if cracked.  As long as the crack is not over 6mm wide (Pound coin) then it will still insulate in the same way.
