Aarrow Ecoburn Plus 5 Primary Air Control - AFS2680
The Aarrow Ecoburn Plus 5 Primary air control is the lever that is used to control air into the firebox from the front of the stove. the Primary air control arm is located at the base of the door under the glass window and is located within the Oval shaped casting pattern on the door. The Primary air slider moves left and right to control the amount of air that is taken in to the firebox.
Please note: Part number AFS2680 has now replaced part number AFS1895
Installation Instructions:
Installing the Aarrow Ecoburn Plus 5 Primary Air Control is extremely easy and can be completed in around 5 minutes.
- Carefully remove the stove door by lifting upwards gently, You may have to wiggle the door to free the door hinge pins.
- Place the door face down on a work bench or table ensuring that there is nothing that can damage the glass or the door casting.
- Locate the oval section and remove the 2 x Screws holding the section in place.
- Working from the front of the door now remove the oval casting from the door.
- Remove the existing primary air slider and replace with the new replacement part.
- Replace the oval in from the front of the door and fix the oval into place from the rear by reinstalling the 2 screws you removed earlier.

When used correctly and carefully fire bricks can last 12 months and sometimes even longer. Please note that using the fire only a few times before the brick cracks does not mean that the brick is faulty as it may have absorbed moisture, a log may have moved during firing and hit the brick or simply been overfired. Bricks can still be used if cracked. As long as the crack is not over 6mm wide (Pound coin) then it will still insulate in the same way.
