Franco Belge Monaco Baffle/Throat Plate - 323209

The Franco Belge Monaco baffle plate is made from Cast iron and is designed to sit at the top of the stove and prevents excess heat from escaping too early and also protects the roof of the stove.  The Monaco baffle gently rests on the rear fire bricks and is supported by a lip inside the stove.  The baffles comes as 2 parts (Main Baffle Part number 323209 & Supplementary baffle Part number 326605).

The Franco Belge Monaco Baffle is easy to fit and under normal firing can last a long time.

Compatibility:

Franco Belge Monaco - 134 06 05

Franco Belge Moanco - 124 09 03

Installation Instructions

Installation Instructions:

Installing the Franco Belge Monaco Baffle Plate is a little tricky but can be completed in around 5 minutes.

1) Remove the log guard. Lift the right side upwards and slide the left side out of the casting on the left then it can then be withdrawn from the stove.
2) Removing the baffle. Lift the baffle upwards, until the small halfmoon support is high enough to pull the bottom towards the front of the stove. It can then be removed from the stove.
3) Remove both side firebricks and rear is changing these also.
4) We recommend that the inside of the stove should be vacuumed clear of ash when this procedure is done and also at the end of the heating season.
5) Now reverse the procedure

Fire Brick Warranty Information:

Please note that due to the very nature of firebricks there are no warranties provided by the manufacturers.  Fire bricks are excluded from any warranties in the same way as car brake pads would be due to the many variances that can cause these parts to deteriorate.

When used correctly and carefully fire bricks can last 12 months and sometimes even longer. Please note that using the fire only a few times before the brick cracks does not mean that the brick is faulty as it may have absorbed moisture, a log may have moved during firing and hit the brick or simply been overfired.  Bricks can still be used if cracked.  As long as the crack is not over 6mm wide (Pound coin) then it will still insulate in the same way.
