Replacement Back/Rear Fire Brick For Franco Belge Monaco
The Replacement Back/Rear Fire Brick For Franco Belge Monaco which comes in 2 halves and is designed to insulate and protect the internal walls of the firebox. The fire brick will fit either side (Left or Right) and 2 is required for a set.
Please note: Bricks are sold separately
Please Note: Over the years the rear bricks have changed slightly and you may need to purchase the correct rear bricks to ensure that the secondary air holes line up correctly. In order to determine the correct rear bricks you would need to check your model number which would be located on your manual or if accessible on the white stick at the rear of the stove.
Identifying the correct rear brick:
If you do not know the model number you can identify the brick required by measuring the distance of the holes to the bottom of the brick.
Measuring the holes will identify the rear bricks you require. Measuring from the centre of the holes to the bottom of the brick will determine which brick is required. If you measurement is 135mm then you require part number 102041 and if the measurement is 165mm then you require 102044, (see image below)

Installation Instructions:
Installing the Franco Belge Monaco rear brick is extremely easy and can be completed in around 5-10 minutes.
- Remove the Throat plate and Fuel Retainer.
- Before Removing the original bricks take note of the position in which they are fitted.
- Remove original bricks.
- Fit new bricks back into position.

Fire Brick Warranty Information: Please note that due to the very nature of firebricks there are no warranties provided by the manufacturers. Fire bricks are excluded from any warranties in the same way as car brake pads would be due to the many variances that can cause these parts to deteriorate. When used correctly and carefully fire bricks can last 12 months and sometimes even longer. Please note that using the fire only a few times before the brick cracks does not mean that the brick is faulty as it may have absorbed moisture, a log may have moved during firing and hit the brick or simply been overfired. Bricks can still be used if cracked. As long as the crack is not over 6mm wide (Pound coin) then it will still insulate in the same way.
